Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Be point of contact for Production, Development and Engineering customers, developing tactical plans in line with project initiatives and programs. Provide updates and status to management and stakeholders on project efforts.

- Perform System / Network Administration activities on Unix systems, Windows Systems & Storage.

- Perform System / Network Administration activities on VMware Virtual environment.

- Automate various System and Network Administration activities.

- Develop various system administration / monitoring tools for day to day use and handover to operation team with proper documentation and training.

- Install, configure, and perform upgrades on the following system management tools: Splunk, Foglight, R-Syslog, Sendmail, Netbackup, Puppet and Nagios

- Should be security conscious in all the system administration, development and tools configuration/management activities.

- Perform system administration activities such as provisioning and troubleshooting on the following OS platforms: CentOS, Redhat Linux, Solaris, AIX, VMWare, and Windows.

- Participate in “proof of concept” programs, implementing new technologies and tools.

- Complete and submit weekly report to Management. Should track and document all tasks, resolution provided for issues and project/work status and provide to management.

- Participate in 'on-call' duties outside of normal business hours as well as participate in bi-weekly maintenance windows as required.

- Perform support and maintenance activities of Production, QA and Development systems.

Manage and document all work through appropriate work management and change control

systems.

- Able to support systems handling credit card data, PCI Compliance systems, Systems supporting DoD and Systems with confidential and proprietary information such as source code.

Required Skills:

- 5 to 7 years experience in a technical support organization (VMware/System/Network Administration).

- 2 to 3 Years experience in VMWare virtualization techniques is a must.

- 4 to 5 Years experience in Linux is a must.

- Solid experience in system & network administration of RHEL Linux & Windows.

- Solid experience in VMware ESX 3.5, 3i and 4.

- In depth knowledge of System/OS level TCP/IP Networking is a must.

- In depth knowledge of Active Directory, Windows OS (2003, 2008) is a must.

- Should put in security as a priority in all the administration and tools management.

- Should be able to work independently and lead/complete project as per guidelines.

Education:

Job Description:

Overall responsibility and accountability for the architecture, design, development, release, and maintenance of data warehouse and business intelligence data, processes, systems and services across all company business functions.

This job works closely with all constituents to identify and maximize opportunities for using data warehouse systems to improve business processes, promote the strategic use of information technology, and enable analysts and management to use these systems for improved, timely decision making.

•Develop strategy and coordinate across business, functional, and technical teams to ensure all business intelligence projects meet strategic objectives.

• Collaborate with process owner, Business unit, and ITS Management to translate corporate/functional business and information objectives into data warehouse business intelligence and translate them to strategic/tactical business plans and systems development.

• Develop the requirements of the data warehouse and the data marts leveraging the data mapping of Legacy data to JDE from the Focus project.

• Define the KPIs, measures, facts, and dimensions and model them in a meta-schema to facilitate rapid development of GUI for the Enterprise Reporting Initiative (ERI).

• Define and develop performance dashboards, pre-defined reports, and other GUI functions required to implement the ERI.

• Ensure cost-effective design managing global resources (on-shore and off-shore), development, engineering, integration, implementation, testing, and maintenance of the data warehouse, portal and business systems in support of business and information objectives and requirements.

• Maintain the ERI post-implementation conducting periodic user reviews, managing the change requests, and prioritizing and overseeing the implementation.

• Manage growth and direction of the data warehouse, portal and business systems.

• Maintain organizational balance and system coherency between front-end desktop/client environment, portal and data warehouse back-end processing functions.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field and/or relevant equivalent experience.

• 10 years of IT experience, including business process design, development, implementation and maintenance of multiple business systems.

• 5-7 years of demonstrated Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse (BI/DW)experience involving multiple major development projects.

• 5 years of experience in GUI tools (OBIEE is required) for BI/DW, ETL tools, data warehouse design and development experience.

• Be able to demonstrate the following technical leadership skills:

o Successfully developed and implemented new technologies and work processes.

o Demonstrated high competency in leading small teams of global (on-shore and off-shore) resources.

o Gained experience in leading high-performance teams implementing BI/DW projects.

• Demonstrated competency in defining requirements, design, development, and testing IT projects.

• Experience in project planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of integrated online relational database systems across multiple hardware and software platforms.

• Experience in deploying an Enterprise Portal and utilizing Business Intelligence tools.

• Experience in the consumer products industry preferred, or in a production/service environment similar to that of Ventura Foods.

• At least 7 plus years experience in Oracle OBIEE business intelligence tools sets.

• Comprehensive knowledge of problem analysis, structured analysis, and design and programming techniques.

• Conceptual knowledge of information technologies and IS project life cycle methodologies

• Deep Knowledge of data warehouse, data mining, online reporting portals.

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of business principles and business processes.

· The purpose of the OCEC ECTP program is to transform the process of handling citizen emergency calls for service (primarily via E911) by utilizing new state of the art Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and related hardware and software components.

· The purpose of this project is to select and deploy a state of the art Computer-Aided Dispatch system for the FDNY along with all related software and hardware components (i.e. NYPD interface, GIS, Mapping, Automatic Vehicle Location Tracking (AVL), Mobile Terminals, Records Management).

We require Sr. FD, EMS and PD CAD / UCT SME resources to advise, produce, collaborate and assist on the following deliverables:

· Assist with CAD system design, architecture and implementation alternatives

· Assist with dispatch algorithm conversion and development

· Advise as to public safety Call-Taking alternatives and best practices in a large scale, multi-jurisdictional, multi-agency environment

· Advise on public safety triage Call-Taking alternatives in a multi-agency environment

· Assist with Geographic Information System (GIS) and mapping optimization for the public safety environment

· Assist with automatic vehicle locator (AVL) unit and personnel tracking options and implementations

· Advise on multi-vendor CAD to CAD inter-system communications strategies

· Assist with comparative analysis of PRC, Intergraph and Tiburon CAD systems

· Advise on custom communications protocol implementations and alternatives

· Assist with Call-Taking and Dispatching human factors engineering

· Advise on National Emergency Number Association (NENA), Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) and National Information Exchange Model (NIEM) industry.

Standards and best practices:

· Advise on public safety vendor contract terms and conditions

· Coordinate application design issue resolution with OCEC, FDNY and vendors

· Responsible for providing high level systems design and architecture review

· Communicating risks and issues to project management and agency

· Using best practices for development and ensuring they are used across the project

· Conduct project reviews of the components and systems being developed

· Assist in defining testing and acceptance criteria

· Monitor design issues across all systems that may affect overall performance
