The scope of duties for the Senior .NET Developer and Architect include, but is not limited to, the following:

Consultant Resource will perform the professional software engineering/developer functions in the following environment:  ASP.NET as well as ASP.NET MVC web frameworks, C#, Javascript, AJAX, HTML, and CSS, Microsoft SharePoint, BizTalk, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, MDM, and Oracle and support the following projects: 

·         Building of Data Marts for Claims and Policy Domain

·         Data Migration/conversion

·         Building of Applications to support back office operations which include data acquisition, data cleansing, data consolidation and data dissemination

·         Documentation of existing systems

·         Provide Development support for the Data Mart and back office Projects

·         Lead other software engineers to design and implement well-integrated products

·         Define and evolve the architecture for the system.

·         Expert in all technical aspects of the product

·         Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies based on product needs and industry trends

·         Develop creative solutions and write technical design & architecture documents

·         Provide work estimates for proposed projects

·         Cross-train developers on product features that are implemented

·         Constantly look for better processes for projecting and improving project profitability

·         Perform hands-on software design and development in .NET

·         Develop and execute unit tests for product components

·         Establish architectural standards and best practices

·         Encourage innovation of process and creative development methodologies

·         Work closely with management to determine feasibility of product features

·         Establish standards and Perform peer code reviews and provide feedback

·         Promote high quality, scalability, and timely completion of projects

·         BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree

·         7+ years of software development experience

·         3+ years of proven technical lead and architect experience

·         Proficient in ASP.NET as well as ASP.NET MVC web frameworks

·         Experienced with C#, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX, HTML, and CSS

·         Development experience in an enterprise-class system with multi-tier architecture

·         Must have .NET Web application architecture, design, & development experience

·         Broad experience with .NET Framework 3.5 or above including WPF, WCF, & WF

·         Expert in ASP.NET MVC, Web Forms, & Entity Framework

·         Expert in ADO.NET / WFC Data Services and familiar with LINQ

·         Expert with Design patterns, SOA design & web service development

·         Strong experience in developing for high-availability clustered environments

·         Working knowledge of Linux and Windows

·         Strong communication and writing skills

·         Comfortable working in a flexible Agile development environment

·         Solid understanding of data warehouse concepts, data-marts & Master Data Management (MDM)

·         Should be able to write reports using various reports generation tools and languages

·         Custom development utilizing Microsoft SharePoint, BizTalk, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, MDM, and DQS  will be a plus

·         Expert knowledge of SQL statements

·         Prior experience in the insurance industry is a plus

·         Microsoft certifications desirable

·         Provide more in-depth analysis with a high-level view of goals and end deliverables.

Answers to Questions on specific skills and areas of responsibility:

1)      What are the automated testing tools available, if any? (In a SAP environment, usually the testing is done using manual testing tools like Mercury tools, sometime Load runner is used for automation).

2)      HP QC is the test management tool being used. It is a test lead position with a manual testing background.

3)      What version of SAP and what modules?

4)      Name the modules and we own them and are implementing, HTR, PTP, etc. Can get back to you on SAP version.

5)      How critical is SAP i.e. if I find a very experience QA Test Lead but does not have SAP.

6)      Some SAP background would be ideal. But a QA Lead with outstanding skill that doesn't have SAP would be considered.

7)      How many testers will be part of the team?

8)      Varies but 5-15 is not uncommon

9)      Explain the reporting dashboard format and frequency of reporting.

10)   Using the dashboard module in HP QC to drive reporting. Status reporting will be a challenge due to the tremendous workload and unavailability of testing resources - creativity will be key. Frequency is weekly --but potentially as often as ---on demand.

11)   What level of interaction will this person have with the business and IT.

12)   Interaction with Super Users/SME's and IT Management and worker bees.

13)   What are the qualities and skills that have been key to success of other QA Test Leads at American Water.

14)   Must be flexible. Can't be rigid formal methodologist who "goes by the book" - though those skills are good to have to be able to offer when asked. Should be hungry for hard work and extra hours.

15)   It is a replacement for a full time employee and it will be 6 month contract and then the person will be evaluated for the full time position.

Years’ Experience:  2-3 years application packaging; 3-5 years overall IT experience preferred.

Job Description:  The Application Packager (Packager) will be part of a Windows 7 migration project team.  The project team is tasked to package and test several hundred applications across multiple lines of business. The Packager will be responsible for packaging COTS type applications using AdminStudio packaging software.  The packager will also be expected to help define and establish standard packaging and testing processes and workflows.  Packaging will primarily consist of building silent installation packages in a MSI/MST format and performing initial installation testing on Windows 7 before hand off to the client for user acceptance testing.

Skills Required:

Must have prior experience with using AdminStudio for packaging.

Must have packaged applications for Windows XP and/or Windows 7 OS platform.

Must understand and have used one of the following: VBScript or Powershell.

Skills Desired:

Expertise in virtualizing applications through sequencing is desired, but not required.

Expertise in shimming is desirable, but not required.

Knowledge Required:

Must understand a standard packaging process and workflow.

Must understand MSI packaging best practices and standards.

Must have an understanding of software deployment leveraging Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).

Must have knowledge of desktop deployments for Windows platforms.

Abilities Required:
